Joso`s Dream Villa - the story
This is a short story about Joso`s Dream Villa. Story is related to our late husband; father and grandfather Joso in whose honor this residence was build.
Joso was born in a small village named Dubravice which is located in vicinity of national park Krka in Dalmatia. (We highly recommend You to visit it)
As hard village life did not fore fill him and dreaming about greater things he decided to move away. Therefor he moved in near by city of Split where he started to work in a restaurant. After years of dedicated work and already married for our dear mother Matija, he still dreamed of greater things. The opportunity came for him and he opened the restaurant Hajduk in Klis. Klis is at the entrance to Split which is even today famous for roasted lamb. This is local dish appreciated everywhere in province of Dalmatia and highly recommended.
After few years still dreaming bigger he moved out and opened restaurant in Split center. Finally he opened café bar Sidro. (This stands for anchor in Croatian). Finally, he settled down in Split where he anchored with his family for 30 years being loving father to a son and daughter.
Through out all of his life and weathering storms he was still dreaming about quiet place. Villa with a garden by the sea surrounded by nature for his old days.
He found that place in Vinisce, a small place not far from Split where he purchased the land. Finally, he started to build his dream house.
But unfortunately as life had other plans he passed away not fulfilling his dream to the fullest.
After that were some hard times and our family even started thinking of selling the place.
But Joso`s dream was bigger and with joint forces we weathered another storm to finally build this house in April 2016.
As Your host`s we truly hope You will enjoy staying in Joso`s Dream Villa.
The place in the heart of Dalmatia, as we know that our late loving husband, father and grandfather Joso would.
